[Lifetime, no subscr.] SignalHunt - Find conversations that are already asking for you.

Full contextOriginal content · Reddit

I’m super happy, after navigating App Store Review, finally my 2nd MacOS app is live: Quickie, advertising text: Hunting for High-Signal Leads - on Reddit and... Bluesky. SignalHunt combines on decive intelligence with a minimalist workflow to find the opportunities for your App. Find the Lead. Be the Answer :) SignalHunt is a lifetime license. No subscription, one-time, forever yours. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/signalhunt-find-your-leads/id6768570237 Problem: We, developers, but also markeging agencies, need to find leads to somehow succeed. Real conversations, real people, because paying for ads can get real expensive and you simply cannot forsee if it will be sucessful or not - not so unlikely it will be a total disaster. Then again finding conversations where people already talk about their needs, stepping in (the Reddit way) never fails to move the needle. Compare: I'm not aware of a non SASS tool (in the shape of SignalHunt) like that. And to be honest, i don't care much. I know and used some of them https://usepulse.ai/ , https://ventureradar.io/product , https://crowdwatch.tech/ but it's too expensive, starting at $20 up to $80 and more a month and more, sorry no. I want a one time payment and a tool that doesn't require BYOK and all those things that drive the price. The feature list of those tools is different i understand, then again as we all here are very well aware, those autmatic posting things they do are super dangerous (shadowbanning etc.) - so i have mixed feelings about the concept even. It is manual work, and i’m not to promising to make it go away - then and only then it can be successful - at least works for me and my clients (marketing agency speaking) - we're working with signal hunt a few months now. + don't underestimate this: We added Bluesky to the mix, Bluesky could be important in future, let's see BUT - right now accepts a more direct approach. Warming an account is not important, and it's generally not so crowded, poeple didn't settle so much - i would strongly advise to tap into it and shoot (a lot actually, just do it)! Pricing: Will be close $20 after a month, for kickoff it's $9 something. Is it steep? I don't think so, market will tell but i for sure am confident enough that lifetime, all updates and yours forver is allowed to cost as much as a fith of one month of pulse etc. Sorry for being bold. Changelog: 1.2.1 features all the stuff we testdrived in production those months now. 1.3 or so will bring everything you are feedbacking me if it makes sense and is not feature-creep. soon-ish- will bring an additional platform, we are investigating X as we speak (hardcore, not sure we will make it) Al Disclaimer: None. Hand coded from white sheet except for on device Apple Intelligence (no idea and i don't plan to learn it) Designed in Adobe XD, coded in Swift.

I’m interested, but before I plunk down $10, can you let me know if you will continue to support and if you don’t you’ll open source it? Also, how are you “scraping” Reddit reliably, what happens if that’s blocked or fails?

u/phunk8OPReply

Don’t worry, i’m not going anywhere. It doesn’t work wonders but can be a big helper. I would make it open source if the unimaginable happens yes. Reddit scraping, the solution i found is very ok. That been said, we’re talking a bigmac meal mate, don’t we? :) So don’t expect a big money Reddit Api. I went against SASS and costy.

why am i downvoted? strange behaviour following an answer.

Good questions. Interested in their response

instagram, not sure this makes sense. facebook and X in the works (but X as i wrote hmpf. not sure i will make it work) But, I wouldn't expect too much from facebook and insta regarding this type of marketing. This is how Reddit and (now at least Blueskay) works in terms of comunity. The others are basically not a forum nor doe they even closely work like that or are used like that. Me wrong?

This just reminded me of the TweetDeck days - good times & solid product btw! May have just missed it but, any limits on the number of subs the $9 LTD monitor?

u/phunk8OPReply

What do s LTD? Nothing is monitored, SignalHunt helps you searching and “collecting”

u/Confident-Tip5727Reply

LTD = Lifetime Deal Thanks for clarifying - I thought the product was 'set & forget' type of monitoring (like TweetDeck for ex) where you can set a combo of keywords (ex: "recommend" + "CRM") & then it monitors Reddit across various selected/targeted subreddits.

how are you scraping Reddit, and why should people use this instead of putting AI behind f5 bot?

u/phunk8OPReply

not sure what to answer man :) I'm not giving away the core mechanics of course :) Take the time and maybe and watch the app store video - you might see that it's a bit more possibilities than what you described.
