I have no problem installing it, running it, or uninstalling it, using Cork (a homebrew UI) for context: M3 Max 16 inch MacBook Pro with macOS 26.4.1

I'm talking about installing/updating homebrew stuff through PearCleaner. Not installing PearCleaner via homebrew.

Ah. I misunderstood, sorry. I use Updatest for updaing apps, and I uninstall them with raycast or cleanmymac.

Yeah it doesn’t work at all, it messed up a lot of my installations. So I don’t do that anymore through pearcleaner.

There were a few breaking Homebrew updates since Pearcleaner was last updated. I had to scramble to get them fixed in Cork. The last change broke package details completely, and of course, Homebrew didn’t give any sort of heads-up

This is usually a path issue. On Apple Silicon, Homebrew installs to /opt/homebrew instead of /usr/local, and some versions of Pearcleaner default to the Intel path. Check the settings and confirm it is pointed at the right prefix for your chip. If the path looks correct, try quitting Pearcleaner completely and relaunching after a Homebrew update. It caches the installed package list on startup and does not always refresh automatically when packages change. That resolves it for most people reporting this.
