The issue with Antinote
For my specific use case, the app is great. I really like the idea of temporary drafts. It holds information I need right in the moment—information I’ve used and then forgotten. Information for which even Drafts feels like a clunky app that forces you to take extra steps (like deleting, for example). The app is amazing, and I bought a license after just a few minutes of use. The only thing—yesterday while working, I noticed that my MacBook Air on M4 got hot, which I hadn’t felt before. I checked Activity Monitor, and there it was, even though the numbers had been around 1–2 before (the app is lightweight). This post isn’t meant to be a complaint. I’m just letting you know that this can happen. If anyone can suggest what might be causing this spike, I’d appreciate it!

12h power: 2,76. However, I just updated to the newest version Antinote (beta). Heavy user of Antinote. Potentially something related to your Mac? But I'm really just guessing, because I'm not seeing any values like that. Maybe backup and reinstall. If that continues, then maybe ask dev on discord
I haven't seen numbers like that before or since either. There was a spike at that moment. I'd like to understand what might have caused it.
I had this problem too. I cannot replicate it. The developer suggested to install the beta.
Thank you. How did you manage to install the beta?
The issue hasn’t happened again, so I didn’t update yet, I just reported it to the dev. The beta can now be found here: https://antinote.io/changelog#beta That said, while I was looking for the download link, I noticed the sync feature, so now I’m also inclined to update.
Tahoe?
yes. 26.5
Might be the infamous memory leaks Tahoe sometimes suffers from.
I suddenly have exactly the same issue (MacBook Air M3, Tahoe 26.5)
Great app, lets hope its a one fit all solutions
great app, I was able to handle a recent spike using the Instruments tool in Xcode
I had the same issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled, and it hasn’t come back as of yet. Very odd one.
Same issue.. switched to AN and use quick notes.
I think this is probably a mac-related problem, because I've never heard of anything like this.
