TabSwipe — swipe through browser tabs on Mac like ChromeOS
Hi r/macapps, I built a Mac utility that lets you switch browser tabs using a 3-finger swipe, like ChromeOS. No keyboard shortcuts. Just continuous trackpad navigation between tabs. Problem Switching between browser tabs on Mac doesn't take advantage of Apple's touchpads. I wanted ChromeOS-style trackpad tab switching brought to the Mac. Comparison Vs BetterTouchTool BetterTouchTool only lets you move one tab at a time per swipe. TabSwipe allows for continuous scrolling, so if you have 20 tabs open, you can fly through all of them in one smooth motion, exactly like ChromeOS. Vs clicking tabs/keyboard shortcuts: TabSwipe removes the need to move your cursor or hands to the keyboard and hunt for tabs - you stay on the trackpad and switch instantly via gesture. CMD + number Solved.
yeah and ctrl + tab to scroll through your tabs
thanks guys, I didn't know about those keybindings before!
Or control tab if you want to cycle through them.
Oof isn't $13 a bit high? Not to put another dev down but I thought it'd be something like $5.99
Come on now, Claude worked countless sleepless minutes on this.
But it has haptic feedback, too!!!!!!!!11111111 😂
Maybe for free not $13. I know your Claude costs $200 a month but come on
Garbage 🗑️ only free dog
i know others have done it too, but stealing the website design from Alcove is a bold move.
i had no idea about any of these apps but i'm glad i clicked this thread 😂 any apps to make picking emojis easier? if not I hope I just gave someone an idea because it's a pain in the ass on Mac
Does it override the window switching 3-finger swipe gesture? How do you switch between full screen windows then?
All 3-finger swipe gestures become 4-finger swipe gestures instead.
This is for Safari? You might want to say that in your description - don't assume that everyone can tell browsers apart just from sight. Personally, I want this for my open mac apps, like on iPadOS. I'd pay good money if someone can build that and it works reliably
From the website "TabSwipe works seamlessly with Chrome, Brave, Safari, VS Code, Zed, Notion, Finder, Terminal, iTerm2, and Xcode. You can enable support for all apps in the settings to apply the same interception model more broadly." Seems to be more than safari

I have that app and ostensibly, it's supposed to replicate the way app switching works on iPadOS but it's not reliable and doesn't always work - at least not on my machine
Command+Option+Left or Right Arrow keys work too
Multitouch does more for about the same price.
I've owned multitouch for years, still working great for however much I originally purchased it for.
Is it like alt tab by any chance
You mean control tab?
problem is I use 3 finger swipes. can you make this work with 2 (override the back/forward in safari) or 4 fingers?
Very nice idea!, congrats 😃
The idea is nice, but the main usecase is already covered by various options, like cmd+option left/right. Or on my Logitech mouse i have set a tab switch gesture
