I've not found anything that can make me move from Arc yet.

Try Helium. Its not as pretty as the others but man it flies. Zero telemetry or google spyware Plus open source, built by some great developers and has ublock origin built in (the use patch files so they can support the full ublock not just the light version) https://helium.computer/

My one issue with Helium (besides the uncertainty of the project only being done by two indie developers) is the lack of a Widevine license so Helium can play DRM content. Price notwithstanding, I don’t think Google would grant the Helium devs a license since they bundle uBlock in

I recently switched back to Safari. I really like it now on macOS 15. It supports uBlock Origin Lite. It works pretty decent comparable to the Chrome version, and I have Firefox with full uBlock Origin when I need it or when I encounter a site that doesn't render correctly in Safari which occasionally happens. And Safari is really nice with features like: autofill one time codes from iMessage Apple Pay You can pause YouTube videos and copy text from the video or translate you can copy the video frame itself from a YouTube video at it's native resolution like 1080p instead of taking a full resolution screenshot of your Mac Screen. Uses less resources What makes you not want to switch back?

I have been trying various browsers, and finally settled on returning to Brave with a couple extensions to bring back the Arc experience. Much faster, and much less ram hungry. I wanted to like Zen, but too many sites I frequent don’t work with gecko and it’s not very integration friendly.

Arc keeps getting slower and taking more RAM. Brave can behave like Arc with 3 extensions. (The most popular are Arcify and Arcify Search or something like that. There's a couple newer ones out but I didn't like them as well as Arc Search, Arc Peek: Link Preview, and Side Bar for Arc Users. The Arcify extensions make it look more like Arc too.

I've tried ARC, Brave, Safari, and every time I end up back to Chrome, unfortunately—as much as I dislike it, there is nothing out there that is more universal and has all the "bells and whistles" that just work

The 10GB in Library and other files is disk, not RAM. That's Arc's caches piling up, quit Arc and clear its folder in ~/Library/Caches to get most of that space back. For the RAM side, on 8GB watch memory pressure in Activity Monitor, not memory used. macOS fills spare RAM with cache on purpose, so used always looks scary. Green pressure means you're fine. Yellow or red with your normal tabs, then any Chromium browser will behave about the same, only Safari is genuinely lighter.

Use comet. No issues so far and PP inside does a good job

I moved to SigmaOS and really love it. Maybe worth a shot?

Sigma is not updated anymore and I have had a huge problems with extensions( cant use proton pass for example ) . I hope someone will take sigmaos and will carry on
