Shiori - A fast bookmark manager app that keeps every Mac in sync. Fully keyboard driven.

Im confused does safari/firefox or so not keep your bookmarks in sync on every device including mobile? Most browsing is done on mobile now do you have a mobile launcher? Or is this only desktop?
Shiori lets you keep your bookmarks outside of the browser, personally I use both Google Chrome and Safari and occasionally try a different bookmark, so having it live separately is much better for me. Currently it is desktop only, but mobile app is planned.
So you say that raindrop is more robust, you say yours is a leaner approach but the cost is 50, but 25 for launch is crazy to me when raindrop has a generous free plan. Plus why does website say 14 days but here 30, why can’t you modify site to say 30? Also your site has a diff launch price. I also see bar marks was last updated 3 months ago, and again MUCH cheaper than yours. So what do you actually offer differently to charge that much for a bookmarks manager?
I think you spent more time on the website and marketing materials than the app itself.

€24.99 for a bookmark manager app is expensive to me, you would probably get more people buying it at €12

Yeah I mentioned that in the post. There are a couple of other apps called Shiori, as it is "bookmark" in Japanese. Very common name.
Bit expensive but hope its worth it for those who do 😄

I actually like the decision to keep it lean instead of trying to compete with something like Raindrop. The browser profile routing is a feature I haven't really seen done well before. Any plans to support Safari profiles too? That'd probably be a big one for this sub.

Yeah, we're definitely not trying to be the next Raindrop here, the idea is keeping it quick, quality of life features, as well as targeting some niche use cases like collaboration which might be nice for students or teams, routing and api access.
