[macos/iOS] Kairos - your calm and peaceful Focus
First App - first post, I needed something where I can structure my day decoupled from the calendar. And something that does not distract me but is there when I need it. Now I have Kairos where I structure my day in the morning create my tasks and add notes on the fly via a shortcut. At the end of the day I simply copy to Jira or GitHub my notes. Kairos is a distraction free focus blocks productivity app that is there when you need it. Everything is stored local, except you wish for iCloud sync (optional) to sync across your devices. Bravo pour la sortie de ta première appli, c'est sincèrement le plus dur. Ce qui m'a accroché, c'est le côté local-first. Tellement d'outils de productivité t'obligent à créer un compte avant même de pouvoir les ouvrir, alors tout stocker en local avec une synchro iCloud optionnelle, c'est le bon choix. Le coup de copier les notes dans Jira ou GitHub en fin de journée est malin aussi. Simple, mais ça enlève une vraie friction quotidienne. Un retour honnête par contre : tu mets deux liens vers deux applis différentes (Focus Blocks et Focus on your moments) et je n'arrive pas à savoir si c'est la même appli, deux versions, ou si l'une remplace l'autre. Ça vaudrait le coup de clarifier dans le post, parce que là ça m'a fait hésiter sur laquelle essayer.

so how does it actually work? does it turn focus or what?
No, you create your tasks that you plan to focus throughout the day. Either with or without a timeslot. I usually do it with a timeslot so I don’t end up in a rabbithole when doing my tasks. That way I jump from one task to another. But importantly, I call via shortcut a window where I type my notes for the specific task. At the end of the day I copy my notes and have some sort of reporting for e.g. Jira or GitHub PRs.
Also I could not turn on focus mode :D pretty new to swift programming and struggle here and there.
Does it mute other apps?
Currently not I’m currently working on something like that. And hopefully have something ready by next or the subsequent release. (New to swift programming)
Okay, I'm not sure the price justifies it just yet, since i sounds like "Focus" mode on Mac plus tasks. Maybe it can integrate to jira/github/calendar APIs or do more?
I had calendar integration in my testing but couldn’t integrate it properly but working on it. GitHub integration shouldn’t be hard but Jira with its technical users might be :D. Had also that thought, maybe in the next major release. Thank you for your feedback. What would you suggest as a price for such an app. If let’s say, at least the calendar integration is there?
Difficult to say since a lot of factors impact pricing, from design to features to who the audience is. Having both iOS and Mac under one purchase does help justify the price. But I'd consider a free tier alongside a paid version, since the first comparator users reach for is Apple's Focus and existing task manager apps, which are mostly free
How does it actually help? From your demo it looks more like a planner with time block, not actually block anything to help you focus right?
Mainly for me personally it helps that the timeblocks appear when I need them. I capture notes without calling the main app but rather a note capturing window. When I have calls and I set it up already in the morning, I know the timeblock is active and I can simply call the note capturing window. Useful for reporting and as meeting minutes. At least what I use it currently for :)
