Search for an application to adjust the size of the windows, which stick together like magnets.
Hello, I'm looking for an application that can control the size of windows stuck together. When I resize one window, the other automatically shrinks, as if they were magnetic. MacsyZones offers a similar feature, but I have to go through its organization to activate it. As I already use Moom, which I find more practical, the two applications are not compatible.

I use rectangle pro, every windows will follow you dragging the other windows, assuming you already snap them tgt
Does this mean that you first have to go through the software to organize your windows in order for it to work? Otherwise, it won't work?
Nope, its not like macsyzone. Rectangle auto adjusts for you. No setting up required. I have my money willingly and satisfied 100%. You can try demo but I'm not sure if this auto adjust works.
Take a look at WindowGlue: https://github.com/Conxt/WindowGlue
This seems to answer my search perfectly! I'll give it a try, thanks!
You could take a look at Aerospace, Rift, Yabai, Bobrwm, GlazeWM and many more. I believe the term for these apps is Window managers. But setting them up can be a but of a hassle. Theres also rectangle that I think can do something similar?
I'm familiar with window managers, but here I'm looking for a specific option: to magnetize windows to each other.
You're looking for a window manager (they're awesome). I'd recommend you checkout macoswm.com for options.
As I mentioned, I already use Moon. I'm not looking for a window manager, but rather software that offers a specific function, that of magnetizing windows together.
In what way? MacOS does this natively if you snap two windows side by side. Are you looking for something more specific?
I haven't found out how to do this directly on macOS, but I would have preferred it, as it's always one less piece of software to install. If I place two windows side by side in the height direction (my screen being vertical), nothing happens :/.
I’ve used a ton of options but have been the most happy with https://github.com/asmvik/yabai
I've seen this application before, but the installation seemed tedious and I didn't understand whether to install yabai or Amethyst. In any case, it's not very obvious at first glance, which is why I didn't look into it any further.
Same dude. In fact I overlooked a lot of open source apps until claude taught me how to use terminal. Definitely recommend taking that route. It’s opened up my world to so much good stuff!
try 1piece, i was surprised to find out that its window management tool had such a feature. Though I cannot verify its compatibility with moom, 1piece is free, wouldnt hurt to try
I'll have a look, thanks for your suggestion.
Awesome! Works flawlessly with Swish
i use rectangle for this. not sure it does the magnetic shrink thing you mean though. does Loop maybe? havent tried it but ive seen it mentioned for snap style layouts
