Alt-Tab Alternatives app?
I made the error to update it to v.11 and now I can't use alt+` to switch between windows of same app, so annoying, it asks me to buy pro ver for that. I tried to find older version but the dev took them down from the github repo. Anyways, try to move on I guess. Any other alternative for this app with the same basic functionality like this one? Edit 1: someone commented this link where you can find older version. I downloaded an older version and disable updates, so far so good. https://alttab.en.uptodown.com/mac/download/1171383149

I like DockDoor
+1 for DockDoor. I actually dropped AltTab long before the paid plan because I ended up liking DockDoor more. Great app, very polished, and the developer is super responsive.
What is better about it?
+1. I use it instead of AltTab.
I moved from Alt-tab to this open-source one: Switch . https://github.com/Sanyam-G/switch
This!! Very lightweight and snappy. Very responsive developer also.
this app feels like a fresh breeze
I tried Dockdoor and Switch. I decided to stay with Switch. It has all I need without annoying extra features enabled be default. Dockdoor seemed a bit slower and complex.
Previous AltTab releases are available here: https://alttab.en.uptodown.com/mac/download/1171383149
And you'll need v.10.12.0.
I stopped using extra apps when I found out about Settings → Keyboard → Keyboard Shortcuts → Mission Control → Application windows: I set it to Opt-Tab, which lets me flip through the open windows of the current application. Yes, it's not showing me all the windows but I have so many windows open all the time, that's confusing anyways 😉
Thanks for this post. I, too, am annoyed by this new, constant Pro popup. AltTab (free) is useless now. I'm trying out DockDoor as a result.
Hello, someone else commented this link where I could find older version. I downloaded an older version and disable updates, so far so good. https://alttab.en.uptodown.com/mac/download/1171383149
I've started using rcmd recently and it's a bit of a game changer. It takes some getting used to but worth it once you've got the hang of it.
DockDoor Alternativa gratuita e muito superior ao AltTab, seja pela interface, seja pela quantidade de recursos, e seja pelo uso mínimo de memória RAM.
Hi there! Developer of Sxitch here! Sxitch might be something you should check out. It uses a Tree based navigation system so you pick apps based on their name instead of tabbing and cycling through all the apps. The app picking is simply just using `D` for Discord, and if you have davinci open it becomes DI and DA for discord and davinci respectively. Sxitch also supports window picking, and app switching, along with hiding / quitting apps. Hope this solves your needs!
Hello 👋 does this one have the switching between activate apps as well? Like I used to use option+tab for switching between all apps and option + ` for switching only between windows of the activate app.
BetterCMDTab https://github.com/rokartur/BetterCmdTab
rcmd all the way.
Contexts is still the most reliable one. https://contexts.co/
DockDoor is great. It took me a bit to get used to the UI, but now I love it
You actually don’t need alt tab or any software to do that you just need to use command + back tilt to do it and you can change the shortcut in your keyboard shortcut settings
I use SuperCmd to map application shortcuts with HyperKey. Both free and have eliminated all app launching/switching friction for me
Witch.
This...will not do...
