ODF Reader & Editor
I use LibreOffice on my Mac and I’m very pleased with it. However there’s no iOS app. Collabora is hot garbage and Pages now requires a subscription. Also, Pages and Collabora both have styles and formatting issues which require I fix things when I get home. So what else is totally compatible?

Pages, Numbers and Keynote do not require a subscription and they're all free. But, there are some extra features and resources that do require the subscription, these were added to the new version. You can still run the non subscription versions.
Pages chokes pretty hard on formatting.

There is no current solution and for now I'm just going to be editing ODT files on my Mac only. Hopefully the iOS origin will be sooner rather than later.
if you're mostly viewing and only occasionally adding/restructuring, i'd separate perfect editing from safe reading. Keep the real ODF files untouched in whatever sync folder you trust, and make a PDF/export copy for iPhone/iPad when layout matters. Use mobile editing only for rough notes or structural changes, then do final cleanup on the Mac. ODF round-tripping on iOS is still the weak link. The trap is expecting the phone app to be a full desktop replacement. For your use case i'd optimize for not corrupting styles: view/export most of the time, edit lightly, and keep version history on the folder so a bad mobile save is reversible.
