Ages ago, I had an iOS app that would just give a popup message every fifteen minutes telling me how much time I'd spent on my phone that day. It worked great - it disrupted my flow just enough for me to remember that I needed to do other things without making it impossible for me to use my phone when I needed to. I can't even remember the app's name, but they pushed an update and that feature went away. Are there any apps that do that today? I've done my best to block things with ScreenZen interruptions every fifteen minutes, but that doesn't give me a cumulative count and (equally frustratingly) means I'm interrupted and slowed down at times when I actually need to check my phone.

screentime messages can be a good motivator, but they're also kinda annoying if you're trying to focus, you might want to consider setting up custom messages that don't distract you as much

ScreenZen requires a fifteen second cooldown, which is a huge amount of time if I’m trying to look up an address or something. The app I had just has a ppp down notification saying I’d now spent an hour total on my phone.
