We have a sku that we purchase from our supplier and then we have our sku. Since there is only 1 spot for a sku, I created a metafield for the supplier sku. In the admin panel, I’m unable to search for the information in the supplier SKU. I did make sure the metafield is set to single line text, and the option are enabled within the metafield settings. Any advice? We would really like to be able to search for either skus.

Something not adding up - if the metafield is set to allow searching in admin then it should be, but you'll need to find it in the search filters - scroll down to the bottom of the filter by list, under type, tags, etc.
Have SideKick create an app that searches the metafield for the supplier sku. I just made something similar yesterday.
Shopify admin search does not index metafield values the same way it indexes SKUs, titles, or tags, even with the searchable option turned on. The filter list approach one commenter mentioned is the closest native option, but it works as a filter, not a keyword search. The most reliable workaround is to also add the supplier SKU as a tag. Tags are fully searchable in admin and you can filter orders and products by them. It adds a small maintenance step when you update supplier SKUs, but it is the only way to get true keyword search across both SKUs without a custom app or third-party tool.
