I often find myself something interesting on tiktok as I'm a heavy shopper, and the only way I save it is by send the link to my whatsapp (basically message myself). I'm sure there are apps out there where I can copy the link and drop it to save. Any recommendations please? I'd definitely like it to be locally saving only, don't want to hook up my cloud account or pay for backups.

If you are into selfhosting, you can use the linkwarden app. It’s pretty good.

There are many apps that can be used to save links, from notes apps to list apps to dedicated links apps. Really anything that you can share to that allows for adding to an existing document/file would work. I have set up a couple of documents in my notes app of choice - Markor - and share to them depending upon the link source. Works great for me because the markdown links automatically open in the appropriate app when I click on them in the documents. A few dedicated links apps that I've tried in the past, none of which made me give up my existing method, but may suit you: LinkHub Deepr Linkor Linkzary
