EDIT: Looking for WINDOWS 11 software first and foremost, but Android works too if its not too heavy My experience lies mostly in Photoshop, and I'm looking for something with similar, simple interface. Where I can both edit text and also import my own images, create shapes, have layers etc. It needs to have vector based text typing/editing; aka I can resize the text however I want without it becoming pixelated. And it has to preferably be FREE, aka no limits on how I can use the software without having to pay for a subscription(a cheap one time fee also works). Anything like this out there or am I outta luck?

daaamn, so close! Thank you for the answer! But I think I made a mistake writing "I'm looking for something like InDesign" in the OP. I honestly haven't mucked around with that program in years, and I find the interfaces of both Affinity and Scribus just too obtuse and bloated. Do you(or anyone else reading) happen to know of software, with the factors I'm looking for(vector text + image editing + free), that is even "simpler"/more intuitive to use for quick/simple layouting? Something more towards the Photoshop interface perhaps(which I have more experience with) Thanks in advance
nope. i mean layout programs ARE powerful and complicated. i was going to suggest inkscape but you'll no doubt have the same qualms about that too... i mean, canva?!? photopea? what are you aiming to do i.e. what's the final product? is it for commercials printing, home printing, digital use?
I am surprised Inkscape has not been already mentioned. After all is one of the tools preferred by designers and illustrators ...
InkScape is the correct one for you.
