Hi, I would like to ask if there's some program (Windows) that shows me just how my space in my drive is used. The point of asking here is that I would love to install some program that just doesn't have the chance to delete my files by itself after indexing them, even if it's two manual clicks away. I would also like if the program can export the results so I can compare them over time. The deleting issue is the reason why I didn't install any "show how my space is used" programs, even when I really wanted to few times. I like to just delete things manually if I need to. Thanks for answers.

But I think Windirstat may have "Delete" function if you right click I think. I'm worried enough with the built-in Windows deleting, at least files can go to Recycle Bin tho. I was pissed enough when Windows bypassed Recycle Bin because file I was "deleting" was too big. But with any program I'm scared that there's a chance it will just bypass the Bin by default whenever there is "Delete" function.

Sorry to ask; can you elaborate why you need it not to have a delete function? No such software, if it's decent, should delete your files without you asking it to. Are you worried about it happening on accident? dua-cli might be an option. It's a command line tool, which might not be the kind of interface you like, but the only thing it does is measuring the disk usage of things in a directory and nothing else, no deleting, nothing. It's incredibly fast at it, too.
Yes, I think I may be overly worried that I might accidentally click "Delete" tbh, but the point of asking here is wanting to see if anyone has any program within my specifics. Otherwise I would just install some "good" program if I feel like.
That's very reasonable. I wish I could recommend a GUI option but the ones I know (Filelight, WizTree, WinDirTree) all have delete options. dua remains an excellent tool for this purpose if you're willing to open the CLI once in a while.

Made in 2001 and still going strong. Spacemomger. If you use it in win11, make a shortcut, right click, properties and set it to xp compatability mode. I have used TreeSize for many years. It gives a graphical view of exactly where your drive space is being used. And you can drill down to individual folders as needed. As far as I know, there are no delete options. There are several options for exporting as well.
