I've looked for alternatives, but the features I like from it seem to be divided among different apps. These are the features I'm looking for: Text formatting options. Nothing crazy but at least italics/bold font, text size and colour, and highlighting. The ability to do checklists whenever, wherever, not just as separate notes, and without taking away the ability to write other text. The ability to draw or sketch wherever in a note. A note list widget. Also, the ability to select just bits of text to copy or cut, not necessarily the whole thing... I didn't think I'd need to list such a basic "feature", but I tried one alternative where you just couldn't do that, so I wanted to be sure... All these things together made Samsung Notes a comfortable app to use for me. Does anyone know of a suitable substitute that doesn't sacrifice any of these features? Thanks.

Sorry, forgot to mention I'm switching devices. Ny new phone won't allow for Samsung Notes even if I get an apk .

Doesn't seem to be available in my country from the Play Store. Is there a third party mirror somewhere? Edit: found a mirror and tried it out, it's fantastic!!! It's just what I was looking for!!! Thanks a lot!!! But the widgets don't seem to work. When I place one it just disappears and does nothing. Could it be an issue with my launcher? (I use LawnChair)

I would start by looking at FoxyNotes https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sesa.foxynotes&hl=en-US which I discovered when the author promoted it here on Reddit. It has the features you mentioned and more.

If you can't access it on the Playstore try the following link. https://apkpure.net/foxynotes-google-drive-synced/com.sesa.foxynotes
