That would be really cool, like there are all kinds of widget sizes, and every widget has a set url to grab HTML from, with a configurable update cool down and click-url that opens in the browser. Alternatively, if HTML rendering isn't really an option, at least allow image URLs, then the websites could render the widgets themselves

Android widgets (remoteviews) don't support webviews (the two of view that could render html for you)
