I'm looking for a piece of software or a website that can put multiple photos together in a sort of slideshow-ish GIF. In particular, I need an app that has fade transitions and allows me to export in higher resolutions. So far I've been using EzGIF, the options that website has are great, but it doesn't let me export the GIFs in high resolution, which is a necessity for my purposes.

GIFs are very far from ideal for high-res imagery (excluding the 256-color limit)
are there any alternative file formats? my goal is essentially to embed a looping slideshow (with fade transitions) into things like discord channels and DMs on various social medias, and i do need high resolutions for it
Maybe WebPs, I know these work great on Discord (because it's a glorified Chrome tab) Maybe APNGs or MNGs but neither will have widespread support
GIF is a terribly inefficient format. If you make a slideshow with the max allowed dimensions in ezgif (1920×1920 pixels), you will be over Discords size limit (8MB for free users) anyway after just a few frames.
