I'm looking for a health tracker, not a fitness tracker. I use a Samsung Galaxy S phone, and I was using Samsung Health but they have been enshittifying it to the point where it is no longer usable for what I need. What I do not need are workout stats, step counter, calorie counter, how much water did I drink, etc. What I do need is something I can log my blood sugar, my blood pressure, my weight, and track various symptoms. And I want it all in one place, not scattered across multiple single-purpose apps. Google Fit, Google Health, Samsung Health, none of these do what I want need.

All those things can still be done in SH, and the home screen can be customized to only show the features you need

It has un-removable junk. There's a ginormous banner ad at the top taking up a full one third of the screen. Below that is a non-removable thing yelling at me that my data hasn't synced in a while and the only way to make that go away is to go to settings and turn off syncing. And I can't remove Steps from the home screen. There is no place to track just my weight.

It's a fitness tracker, not a health tracker. It comes from FitBit. Google Fit is also a fitness tracker, not a health tracker.

Literally all you're asking is in the app. Click the "health" tab on bottom right and all the metrics are there. You can disable/hide all the stuff you're uninterested in.

Thanks, but unfortunately due to MDM restrictions I cannot install apps unless it's from the Play or Samsung stores.

All good! Just wanted to offer just in case. The web app doesn’t require any installs though, it’s all browser based, should work like a normal website in that regard

Health app > Edit home, then hide the junk and pin the bits you use most tho

In any case, I'd try looking for FOSS projects. https://github.com/Dieterbe/awesome-health-fitness-oss How about this one? https://github.com/oliexdev/openScale

Hey there! I just released an app perfect for this on iOS. I am almost done with the Android version but will need some testers before Google will approve it for their app store. In the meantime, I have a web app version for android users to try out, works almost the exact same as the mobile version and data/account will carry over once the mobile app is out. It's called LivSync, I created it for my soon to be born daughter with a heart defect in order to track all her meds, symptoms, doctors, appointments, vitals, etc in one spot. Check it out and let me know what you think! And if youre up for testing the mobile version when the time comes, let me know! It's livsync.app for the web app, info page is livsyncapp.com

Ok for all you androids out there... I figured i let you guys know as well, i made a android health tracker, and I wrote this in another chat, but it applies here as well: "You may be aware how everyone is grifting your data and sells it to the next bidder... Well my wife was sick of it, not just that, but she needed 3 apps to track all the things she wanted... Thats why I made her an Android Application. All data is stored behind a password, on a secure SQL Database on your device! Noone other than you gets access.... I made it available in over 22 countries. Please check it out! No data grifting no promotions. As i said, i made it for my wife, but i felt others may wanna use it as well I know its not as fancy as the mainbrands, but the data belongs to you alone! And it does work you can just search Akasi on google playstore or follow the link (sorry apple users, I can only write so many programming language) Here we go: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.gadgetmaster.myfitnessapp&pcampaignid=web_share Let me know your thoughts
