Basically my idea is that it records all audio constantly and I can pick parts of the recording to save, automatically delete silent parts etc and possibly summarize or automatically write any conversations or speech down as text. (It is not illegal to record anyone without their knowledge where I live, only if you send it to other people or the internet or anyone who wasn't part of the conversation originally.) I am extremely forgetful and I desperately need a solution to remember things said to me, things I need to do or advice given to me.

But that's the same thing with any normal built in recording software. Any recorder can be turned on and left in a room.
It's just audio, I don't see how that would be creepy. Do people with memory illnesses not have the right to remember stuff said in conversations as well as people with good memory?

Do they have the right? That depends You have the right inside your house but in a workspace recording something 24/7 audio would probably not be something you could just assume is okay..

Yeah the cool side of it is you could go back a remember a lot of key details in a conversation or something But yeah it could be abused like leaving the phone in a room or somewhere private

I've had this on my todo for years and think about it often. I would be able to make something cool like this within a week but for publishing and making it public it would be harder. Just due to privacy related stuff
