They keep track of the creator and product in a spreadsheet, then manually check each creator’s account to see whether the promised content was posted. Some have a VA doing it. This is timely cause I actually just had a company create an automation that sees this. It keeps track of all our client products sent, who it’s for, online activity, it even tells me the metrics on that post. It does this daily. It’s still putting it in a spreadsheet but I just get reports on what it did and that’s just easier to handle. It’s built to spot if someone hasn’t posted and check the order status for delivery, and even write a follow up in case that happens. It’s been 2 weeks and honestly I love it. Totally worth automating.
That’s exactly the kind of workflow I had in mind. Glad to hear it’s working well after two weeks. Thanks for sharing this. Can I ask why you chose to have it custom-built instead of using off-the-shelf software or handing the work off to a VA?
We looked at a few existing tools, but most only handled one piece of the process. We still would’ve been moving information between systems and manually checking the edge cases. A VA could do that, but we wanted to remove the repetitive monitoring rather than hire someone to keep doing it. The custom route made sense because it was built around how we already work and only flags us when something actually needs attention. Since we were doing this for multiple clients it just made sense.
