Hi everyone, I have a question that's been bugging me for a while. I currently use 3-4 music/podcast players simultaneously on my phone (Playbooks, Pocketcasts, KMPlayer, and sometimes YouTube), and filling my home screen with widgets from each one just isn't practical. Takes up way too much space. What I'm looking for is something simple: an icon on my home screen that, when tapped, opens/displays a widget — but only takes up the space of a single icon, not a full widget slot. That way I could: Have a compact icon on my home Tap it and the player widget appears No huge widgets permanently occupying screen real estate Does an app like this exist? Or is there something I'm missing? Any suggestions appreciated! 🙌

I think Popup Widget may be what you are looking for.
Thank you, but I didn't want to change the launcher; I'm okay with Samsung's default.
That's exactly what I wanted, thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!
Then why did you ask if an app or launcher like this exist?
I chose a random app icon on my dock, assigned a gesture swipe/popup widget/widget stack/assign the widgets I want to use.
Smart Launcher has both a gesture widget for a floating window, and a smart widget feature that has swipeable widget. I use a gesture to activate the swipeable widget, then the assigned widgets are on a carousel to choose from
Wow I didn't think such a thing exists. Cool!
how do you set that up?
Damn that's light too. But paid :(
r/totallauncher, you can make invisible swipe areas if you wanted or an icon that brings up a window
