As the title states, I am looking for an app that is similar to DFInsta, that is, an app which allows you to block content such as reels and posts on your main feed. I used DFInsta for a long time, but it stopped being maintianed. Last month I started having problems with it where either some new messages would not show up or there would be no visual indicator that I got a new message. I am currently using MyInsta, but it is not the best, as it also doesnt display some messages and some older messages dont even load at all. Does anyone know any apps like this which are also safe and dont possibly steal your login information?

If you’re on Android, FeurStagram looks like the closest maintained replacement right now. It’s open source and removes the feed, Explore, and Reels while keeping DMs, stories, search, notifications, and profiles. I’d still treat any modified Instagram client cautiously, though—check the repo and recent issues yourself, enable 2FA, and don’t assume “open source” automatically means risk-free.
Thanks, I'll check it out and reply with my experience Edit: I'd like to say, in the first 24 hours or so, I like the app, its good. It functions pretty similar to how DFInsta used to function and (unlike the latest version of DFInsta, which is from around 2024), the messages in DMs function properly and get sent on time.
