You might be able to get something out of Google history if you want to make visuals slightly more manual
Make it so passengers can connect to it and snap pictures along the way. Then you could scroll across the route and get “moments” of your road trip.
Not just passengers. Geotag any photo that I take on my vacations and put them all on an interactive map.
If this theoretical app were to scrape my maps history and display that data in am interactive way, that would be sick.

The yearly recap alone would make me use this. "You drove 18,000 km, visited 42 places, and spent 11 days avoiding toll roads." Basically Spotify Wrapped for your car.
Pace and Open Road already exist. Nice idea though
