Hello! I’ve been reading digitally for the past few months and have used Paperback to do so, but it hasn’t been doing me justice recently. I thought of making my own server so that I can use the Panels app to read at my own leisure, and had questions on how I’d go about doing it. I have a raspberry pi that i haven’t touched and am thinking about using that as my server to run either komga or kavita and an opds. Has anyone done this before? Would be grateful to hear any insight on what I must do! Edit: Right now, I have installed Mylar3, Prowlarr, Komga, and qbittorent. I’m not sure what I seem to be missing, as when I try to download a series, nothing pops up in the dedicated folder. It says the download was successful but when I look at the cmd it says there are no search providers available.

Komga works great with Panels. It’s, among other things, an OPDS server. Panels is an iOS client that can connect directly to it. I use both (along with Mylar3 for automation).
Right now, I am looking at either Komga or Kavita and am currently comparing the 2 from what I have seen to see which best fits my needs.
This is what I am looking to achieve! I use to use paperback to read on the go, but as of right now, a newer version for patreons is being cared for first. I figured if anything, with a bit of research, I could make my own server using either my laptop of my raspberry pi.
I don't know what Panels is but I use Komga and it works well.
Before you build something and own that maintenance, you should look at the existing scene: Komga, Kavita, Codex, Stump, Mango, etc and see if something fits your needs. Don't take this as a "you must use an existing". When I was in your boat, there were only 3 options and I ended up starting Kavita.
