one keyboard & mouse across multiple operating systems. multi monitor style.
i dont want 3 keyboard and mice in front of me. i dont want multi monitors. i want to manipulate multiple os with a single input device that maintains the spatial layout of the displays, understands the display topology.

That's a kvm switch and we've had them for at least 30 years.
Already done. (And well) Go download Synergy, by the company symless
Maybe a nice large monitor and layout multiple remote desktop sessions.
The interesting gap is spatial continuity: a KVM switches machines, but a topology-aware cursor that crosses the display edge could make the setup feel like one desktop.
Input-leap open source Synergy works flawless for me
i used to use vnc and use one keyboard and mixe to run borh the windows and Linux machines
