I've been talking to a few ecom store owners recently and noticed something interesting: The hard part of ecom doesn't seem to be getting access to tools anymore. It's managing all the little decisions across those tools. A typical day might involve: Checking inventory levels Looking at which products are selling Adjusting campaigns Creating customer segments Updating products Reviewing customer behaviour Finding opportunities for growth Checking if marketing spend actually matches inventory and demand Most platforms are good at showing you information, but the actual work of connecting the dots still falls on the merchant. For example: Product X is selling well, but inventory is low, and our current ads are pushing traffic to it. Should we reduce spend, reorder, or promote another product? That kind of decision currently requires jumping between Shopify, Klaviyo, analytics, spreadsheets, and multiple dashboards. Curious how other store owners handle this: What repetitive tasks take up the most time in your week? What decisions do you wish someone could just prepare for you? Would love to hear how everyone currently manages this.

But there can be… I mean I can probably build it. I had no idea this was an issue until reading this post. I’m in b2b so my background is a little different but I built a solution to integrate every tool and dashboard into a chat so I don’t have to think about all that stuff anymore. I’m almost certain I can do the same for you
Evergage was so ahead of its time.
This is the actual gap. Every tool in that stack is a reporting surface. It shows you state and hands the decision back to you. The dot connecting is unpaid labor, and it scales with every SKU and channel you add. Your Product X example is the tell. Nothing in Shopify knows what your ads are doing. Nothing in Klaviyo knows your inventory position. Nothing in your ad platform knows margin. So the only place those three facts ever meet is in your head, at 11pm, in a spreadsheet you rebuilt from scratch because you couldn’t find last month’s. I spent about 15 years implementing this stuff (Evergage, SFMC, Lytics, a pile of CDPs) and the pattern was always the same. Buy the tool, sync the data, build the dashboard, then hire a human to sit in front of the dashboard and decide things. We sold the dashboard as the product. The dashboard was never the product. What’s changing it is MCP. It lets an AI agent actually query those systems in one context instead of you tab hopping. Instead of “check inventory, check ads, check sales, decide,” you ask one question and it pulls from all three and gives you the tradeoff. It doesn’t replace your judgment. It just stops making you the integration layer.
Sadly, there's not one tool for the whole loop. Two of the ones on your list are merging into each other though. Shopify's Sidekick can now pull Klaviyo's campaign, flow, and segment data straight into admin, so campaigns and customer behavior are basically one screen these days. Inventory and ad spend still don't talk to either of those, or to each other. So that reduce-spend-reorder-or-promote call is still yours to make by hand, same as it's always been.
Cannabis ecom runs another extra system underneath all of the normal stack as well. We have to run a state seed-to-sale tracker for every unit to reconcile against. So that's my most repetitive task making sure the physical, POS AND the tracking aligns. If there's a mismatch we could lose our license
It’s probably possible to build a solution to fit everything you want. I could probably tell you how

tool fatigue is so real and context switching between five open tabs every morning used to kill my productivity. i reached a point where i was spending more time cross-referencing numbers in spreadsheets than actually doing work. honestly i ended up cutting back on half the software subscriptions i had and just kept things minimal. now i basically just use shopify for order management and Admetrics to keep an eye on ad spend vs revenue in one place. it doesn't solve every single inventory problem you mentioned, but cutting out the noise made a massive difference.
