Hey all, Been trying to find a decent Android manga reader for my 10" tablet that plays nice with my self-hosted setup. What I need: Komga support, either native or through OPDS Play Store app that's actually built for tablets, not just a phone app stretched out. You know the type, 3 giant covers taking up the whole screen. Would love customizable library layouts. Actual swipe gestures for turning pages back and forth, ideally so I can read one-handed Don't really care about syncing progress across devices Already tried: Komelia, Koma, Yomu, Apex Comics, Moon+ Reader, and a few others. Most of them nail almost everything except one thing. Some are clearly phone-only with zero tablet layout options, others have a great feature set but then just... don't have swipe gestures for paging. What are you all using on tablets with Komga? Any hidden gems in the Play Store I'm missing? Thanks!

For downloads or not needing my phones hotspot to read.
Ah ok understood! Sorry i only read them online so i can't help you.
Thx, tried one of them before I started with konga. Will test them again.
This is the best one I have found..
It is :D
Yeah, but I think even Mihon is not on Play Store...
can't find it in the Playstore, can't install apks.
can't find it in the Playstore, can't install apks.
can't find it or mihon (the one in the store is fake) in the Playstore and I can't install apks.
Hey Pedro, its a bit hard to remember exactly every aspect, because I don't have it installed anymore. Your app felt premium and the native Komga support is great, but these things were the downsides, if I remember correctly: The free option should either be restricted by features, or funded by ads. Yours does both. If it works for you, good. For me, this stopped me from using it longer to check out if it's worth the price. I think there weren't many options for turning the pages. Moon Reader+, in free mode, lets you customise a lot of zones for forward/back. This makes a lot of sense with a big screen. Moon Reader also lets you customise how the pages turn and how fast the animation is, if you use animations. Not really important, but nice to have. I like that it's a lifetime purchase, but 13€ is a bit tough. That's for sure my personal opinion, but there are many free readers out there, so this app has to be way better than the free alternatives. Maybe it is, but I won't know because I can't spend 13€ just to test it. Would love to give you better feedback, because I appreciate the effort to ask for critique, but for now, I don't want to browse through ads and locked features all over. Budget is tight, maybe for others this isn't a hurdle. I would say it could be the best one I tested so far and I would use it instead of Moon Reader if there were no Moon Reader.
Hey ! thanks a lot for taking the time to write all this, really helpful. You're totally right about the page turning setup for tablets. Having customizable tap zones and animation speed makes complete sense on bigger screens. I'm actually gonna work on adding that in the next update! Also totally get your point on the free tier balance. Finding the right split as an indie dev is tough, but I definitely don't want it to feel suffocating. Since budget is tight and you couldn't properly test it, I just sent you a DM with a promo code for a free lifetime unlock so you can try it without all the locks/ads. No pressure at all, but if you end up giving it another shot, I’d love to hear what you think!
I use TachiyomiSY (fork of Mihon) with the Komga extension installed. I use this fork because it allows two-page landscape reading and various other tweaks that I like. But basically, Mihon is your answer.
Damn. Wasn't mihon a fork of the original tachiyomi from when that got shutdown?
You really shouldn't be using work hardware for personal use
Gonna check it out. The forks arent on playstore right? The company owns the tablet and don’t allow apks.
Hey OP! Apex comics dev here. Thanks for testing out the app! I'm constantly working on improving it, so I'd love to know more about what you felt was missing, especially regarding tablet support or other features. What specific improvement or features would make the tablet experience way better for you? I'm actively taking notes for the upcoming updates and would love to build what you actually need. Thanks for the feedback!
I'm just using my browser, don't know why i would need something else...
Mihon
Kavita has swipe to paginate fyi in case that is the one thing you're fixated on. CDisplayEx is very popular for Android and has a lot of customization (supports Komga as well).
Cdisplayex
i use Komelia, nice for komga conexion
