Tiny idea for making online arguments slightly less cooked: When you hit reply on something heated, the extension pauses for 60 seconds and asks you to summarize the other person's point in one sentence. If your summary is wildly different from what they wrote, it shows both versions side by side before unlocking Post. No sentiment score, no public shame badge, and no AI rewriting your opinion. Just a speed bump between 'that is ridiculous' and sending it. Maybe it could stay off by default and only activate after midnight or after your third rapid-fire reply lol. Would this genuinely prevent regret, or would everyone disable it after one day? What is the smallest version that might actually stick?

I personally would keep it on all the time. But that’s because I am naturally inclined to not be a jackass. I suspect the people the tool is trying to protect from themselves would leave it off because they naturally feel they are smarter than everyone else, including this extension. Like how driving laws don’t really help bad drivers because they don’t obey the law anyway. A derivation of this extension could be a troll detector. Whatever page you’re on, I could rate the likelihood of danger, like the fire warning sign in front of the county fire station.
