I need a good gallery app to organize photos. I find default Android gallery apps awful because 1. when the app is opened it defaults to a page with ALL of my images in order of most recently acquired. Why would I want that? And 2. even on the albums page, it will always come with these default albums such as downloads, screenshots, etc. which you can't erase and all your images default to. I am looking for more of a Windows style of image organization. An app which, when opened, will show me all of my folders/albums instead of a giant mess of all the unrelated images on my phone together on one page. I don't just take only photos, or else that would be fine. I also take many screenshots and download lots of images. So I need to be able to organize them nicer.

With the amount of data it collects, and shares with third-party companies? Yeah, right...

I only discovered this yesterday so I thought I'd add that Refra comes in several different variants; Standard, Offline, NoML and WithML. The dev suggests Standard version for most people. See the differences from the releases page: https://github.com/IacobIonut01/ReFra/releases It's free from F-Droid/Github, or support the dev with Play Store version.

Fossify gallery.

Fossify. I love haveing the SubFolder. I have no idea why SubFolders are not standard on every Gallery.

Have you tried just using folders to organize, like the file manager folders as they reside on your phone's storage? Then use any gallery for viewing the photos in a mode of showing only the contents of whichever folder you are inside
