Is there an App for employee clocking in/out, payroll and taxes? If it exists?

I own a food truck and I’m paying my Accountant a lot of money right now to do payroll and taxes. I’m. Keeping track of when they get there and leave. I was hoping to find an app that might be able to do everything.

Been super happy with homebase. Really easy scheduling, time clocks and payroll.

Yes, this exists as a category - look at Gusto, Homebase, or Square Payroll. Homebase or Square handle time clocking via phone/tablet and feed hours straight into payroll, and both calculate and file payroll taxes automatically. For a single food truck with a small crew, that combo usually replaces most of what you're paying an accountant to do manually.

Yeah, once time tracking, payroll, and tax filing live in three separate places, owners usually end up doing a lot of unpaid admin just stitching the workflow together. If it were me, I’d look for a setup that does three things well before worrying about extra features: staff clock in/out from their phones hours flow straight into payroll without retyping payroll taxes/filed reports are handled in the same system The big thing is making sure edits, missed punches, and overtime are easy to review before payroll runs, otherwise the app just creates a different kind of cleanup. For service businesses especially, admin friction compounds fast because you’re already juggling bookings, client communication, and day-to-day operations. Even shaving off one manual handoff every pay period helps more than people expect.

Yep, they do! I work at one called Homebase. It allows your crew to clock in and out from their phone. Those hours then flow straight into payroll, and then the app runs the actual payroll and files the taxes for you — so instead of you tracking times yourself, and then handing everything off to your accountant, it's all just connected in one place. (It also includes a schedule builder, in case that's something else you're doing by hand right now too.)

Zoho Shifts + Zoho Payroll works great.

I’ll just chip in and say gusto also. Let me know if you need a referral code, I believe the commission is 450 back to you. We’ve been on gusto for 10+ years. We use Deputy for timekeeping and that works fairly well. Cost a couple dollars a month for a dozen employees. They have all the Geo fenced clock in and all that stuff, to keep employees from cheating you.
