I always found it annoying that there was no easy way to respond to individual paragraphs in AI chat responses. While looking into it, I found multiple requests for exactly this feature in the OpenAI Developer Community, for example here and here. Since I couldn't find an existing solution, I decided to build one myself. I ended up creating ChatNote (for Chrome), a browser extension that works with ChatGPT as well as all other big AI chat platforms. There is also a Firefox version available. It works like this: hover over a paragraph, bullet point, or table cell to highlight it, then click to open an inline editor where you can leave a note. You can edit or delete your notes at any time. When you send your next message, ChatNote automatically adds all of your notes to the chat input in a structured, numbered list so the AI can address each point in context. I'd love to hear what you think. Is this something you'd actually use? [Text body optimized using ChatGPT😜]
