The perfect vibecoding project :)

Or Droppy with its Apple Music Droplet. But I think there's no menubar support (u/iordv can confirm it)

It looks like this:

Check out Spotica Menu on the App Store, version 6 just came out a few days ago and it sounds like exactly what you're looking for.

Came here to say this. Fully support and recommend tuneful.

Tuneful is great

Not yet but I can add that! If OP lets me know that it would be added value :)

If you see the first post of "Top ➜ this month", you'll find that Liqoria is liked by many! Also check out the Dev's recent post!

Ooh does droppy have lyrics int as well?

Maybe like in raycast, where I can trigger anywhere to see what's currently playing, action on it, or find songs!

For Apple Music specifically, NepTunes and Tuneful both do shortcuts and menu bar controls pretty well and are worth a look.

NepTunes is worth checking too if the main thing is quick Apple Music controls without living inside the Music app. i’d still try Tuneful first since people seem happy with it, but NepTunes has been around forever and does the “small menubar now playing app” thing pretty well.

That could be vibe coded in a day I think, I can build that tomorrow for you if you want
