I use WhatsApp for a lot of work and personal communication, and I find the workflow after a phone call surprisingly annoying. For example, after a regular phone call, I may want to: * Message the number on WhatsApp without saving it * Send one of a few common replies * Add a note about why the person called * Tag an unknown number so I recognise it later * Set a reminder to follow up * Schedule a WhatsApp message for later Right now, this seems to involve a mixture of saving temporary contacts, copying numbers, using separate reminder apps, or simply hoping I remember later. Are there any Android apps that handle several of these workflows well? I’m particularly interested in hearing: * Which app you use * Which features actually work reliably * Any privacy or battery concerns * Features you wish existed but haven’t found anywhere I need to also make sure WhatsApp doesn't block me.

Truecaller really messed up my phone, plus it's blocked here in the UAE. How exactly does Gboard help here? I'm using it.

I meant if you receive regular calls, not WhatsApp calls Unfortunately, in UAE WhatsApp calls are blocked so we never use those.
Yes, it has some of the features that OP requested for, hence suggested. I understand the privacy concerns and other issues with it, but that doesn't change the fact that it actually does those things now, does it?
Gboard is just for the common responses that you would want to drop into WhatsApp. You can use the clipboard feature and just pin the responses that you commonly use. No need to copy-paste each time.
Can't say I have one solution for all that, but: Truecaller + Gboard= FUP a call with WhatsApp message (without saving it) + preset replies
