Randomly. Daily. Crave → cave → pay → regret… replay. Like any developer… I didn’t check if something like this already exists. I just vibe-coded it. CraveCourt was born. (Shoutout to Claude code, I mostly just clicked “allow / allow all” and did some basic backend setup on firestore UI 😭) Now when I try to open food apps: 🚫 First screen: “App is out of session” ⚖️ Option: File a case to unblock If I file: My wife (the Judge) gets a notification She approves → app opens (timed access, temporary success) She denies → I sit there questioning my life choices No easy toggles in the moment. Just… judgment. No “just browsing,” no “last order,” only courtroom > cart-room Of course, the current “legal system” has flaws: Uninstall the app → freedom restored (working on it) I can edit which apps are blocked (also… working on it) So yeah, the constitution is still under construction. What started as a shower thought turned into: A courtroom for my cravings Externalized self-control Fewer impulsive orders than I’d like to admit Thinking of adding: Judge decides the timer (not fixed) “Emergency cravings” mode (jury still debating) Better excuse generator 😂 End note: this started as a dumb, fun idea… but it’s actually working. My wife is LOVING the power. I’m currently on parole, privileges limited, cravings prohibited. Would you use something like this? this is actually genius. my self control is terrible after 10pm and i would 100% need someone else to approve my snack decisions the uninstall loophole is the real problem though. maybe put a kid lock or something so the judge have to enter a code before you can delete it

do you guys ever think of not using AI to write your product pitches?
I get the sentiment, but I don’t really see the problem tbh. I’m not outsourcing thinking to AI. I’m outsourcing phrasing. The idea, structure, and core thoughts are still mine. I just used AI to turn that into something more readable and well-flowing. Same with code in my case. I’m a data engineer, not an Android dev, with AI I was able to get from idea in head to something that runs on 2 different kind of android device. End of the day, the value is in building and putting something out there. If AI helps me move faster from idea → execution → feedback, why wouldn’t I use it?

I wouldn't use it ever because I'm not glued to my phone and I don't need it to control any aspect of my life. Todo apps, fitness apps, all kinds of "control me by preventing me to do $x" are apps that get abandoned very fast because they don't work.
