Hey, so I'm looking for one app that could do the following: - Download YouTube videos - Convert images, videos etc. with a lot of settings - Compress - Be fairly lightweight at idle - Option to keep files for X days or forever Is there something like what I'm looking for or I should just let Claude build a web ui for me? Thanks for the answers!

Exactly. I built a nice webpage around it so no commands needed

You're in the wrong sub, and your question makes no sense if this reply is your position.

I'm not going to connect to my machine from my phone and put it a few commands just to get my shit, sorry.

Download YouTube videos I have previously used meTube, just put the youtube link in it and it downloads it according to your settings (like quality, sound only etc)

Have a look at TubeSync. https://github.com/meeb/tubesync

A small yt-dlp and FFmpeg box is probably cleaner than another heavy platform. I've spent 15+ years building web tools and self-hosted automation. Want a rough build plan with retention controls?
