My son is almost 6 years old and studies in a good school. Lately I've been seeing a lot of ads for online communication, public speaking and personality development classes for kids. I'm trying to understand whether these classes genuinely help children at this age or if they're mostly good marketing. My main goal isn't making him a public speaker—I'd just like him to become more confident, communicate better, and enjoy learning. For parents who have actually enrolled their kids: Did you notice any real improvement after a few months? Were the classes engaging, or did your child lose interest? Did you feel the fees were justified? Any red flags or things to avoid before enrolling? Which online platforms have you genuinely had a good experience with? Looking for honest experiences—both positive and negative—before I spend money on something that may or may not add value. No promotional replies please. 🙏

No. Playing at a park and interacting with the other kids there will do way more for confidence, social skills, and language development. Online classes for a 6 year old are going to be a money grab 99% of the time.
Yes, more concerned is... Will they really put efforts to make things happen or just a scam.
Appreciate your feedback, thank you!
Just a normal kids but spend more time to engage on screen. Since both the parents working lifestyle is more on a gadgets.
I would work on less screen time.
Does tge child have trouble or are you just trying to “get ahead?” If you’re looking for something to help with public speaking maybe try acting? I’m sure there is local kids theatre.
The kid is only 6….
No. Look for a theatre class to do in person. My 5 year old loves it. She’s become more articulate and social and it’s just plain fun.
I would consider doing this for my son because he is 10 and aboit to go through some body changes and social changes that could effect his confidence. I think the real goal of all these types of programs is to instill confidence in different situations and with a 6 year old you can accomplish this in alot of different ways that actually develop applicable skills for his age range. A 6 year old isn't even going to be doing an oral report for at least another 4 years and probably shouldn't be online anyways.

My kiddo’s school has weekly show and tell to help kids get out of their shell and practice public speaking. My 4.5 yr old loves it. I’d be interested in something you described too because I think my son would find it fun.
