2010 SUV for $2,500 too good to be true?
I’m extremely new to buying cars, I’m a little suspicious. I’d like to buy a car that won’t immediately die on me, my work place is 10 miles away one way so I need something that can go the distance. I’d really like to have an SUV or a sedan that’s unusually…

Yes, of course. It’s not “too good to be true” all the time for $2500, but the description is too short and gives 0 information about the car. Also, no $2500 car is in “outstanding condition”, that is the biggest red flag. Maybe if it had a couple mechanical issues, no AC, a rebuilt title, super high miles, etc. I think this listing is fake personally
Also, notice that they say they are “only” asking $2500, indicating that they know the listing price is abnormally low. Nobody with a legit good condition car is selling it for below market value for no reason.
This will be my first time buying a car, so I really appreciate the advice!
The kbb in good conidtion is unironically in that range lol. I was super suprised too.
Then even more reason to be skeptical of everything. People are very rarely selling a used car that is in tippity top shape. I would also never trust someone when they say everything works. Not to say you should not look at the car. Just bring a mechanic with you and ask a reddit that knows this car specifically.
When buying cars on used market if it is to good to be true it always is. But looking at the kbb the range is 1,550 to 3,075 so it may be market rate. Very odd for a car to be that low esepcially for a jdm. I dont know much about that car or engine so you may better off going to a mazda reddit to ask. If this is your first used car. Make sure the title is in their name, that its signed in the correct spot, get a ppi, and dont feel rushed to buy it.
