Can anyone suggest me a neck or wearable air conditioner to survive the summer heat?

I'm aware that any of these types of gadgets don't ever last that long, but I'm currently dying in the italian summer heat, especially at night when we turn off the regular acs in the house, so I'd like to know what y'all have been using to personally cool…

My primary tip would be don't search for neck or wearable air conditioner. These things will not be actual air conditioners and will certainly be using false marketing to shift tat.

I love this guy. I was also coming to this thread to post this link.

I don't watch his videos in their entirety. But I do click them all - and skip to the very end where the table is that shows what is the best lol. That's all I need to know.

Heat will drive you nuts. I can't blame OP.

Some guy is going through these comments downvoting common sense, like they did to you and many others. Here’s my upvote for having common sense.

yeah those neck fan things are just fans, not ac. they blow air but don't actually cool it down. the real trick is to put a wet towel on your neck or pulse points, that evaporation cools you way better than any gadget. i used to do that when i had no ac in my dorm, works like a charm

Yeah that's what I figured as well, I thought that maybe someone here would know about what exactly to look for in my situation, like if they own one that they think works pretty well or something like that.

Motorcycle riders use the cooling bands with the crystals. You soak it about an hour, give it a slight squeeze to finish dripping. Tie it around your neck, it's against your carotid arteries. It lasts all day. You can store it in a baggie overnight in the fridge. I hang mine in the shower to evaporate entirely, takes 2 days. It only has a few tablespoons of the crystals in it. Fold it flat, put it away until next time.

Some can cool, using Peltier cooling. They are just expensive and use a lot of power.

What is with Gen Z and liking this crap?

There is no wearable air conditioner simply because of the power consumption alone is too high and the complexity of condenser and pipes. At that point you might looking for a small room portable AC unit.

Project Farm just did a video on them - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_Nb-fpPkJA

Shark Chill Pill...the cooling plate technology works well.

Neck fan for sure. Test and make sure it’s good before the 30 day return window. They are not all equal. Big hat for the sun. You can do a wet neck wrap if really necessary. Ice pack for back or chest to wear and store in freezer. Saline spray nose. Portable rechargeable fans. Gel double sided pillow with fan aimed at it.

Those portable fans are the least worst thing. But you can also freeze a bottle or a gel/ice pack and keep it with you in a towel.

Wet bandana

Search r/menopause. They are experts in dealing with the heat.

Look for neck coolers on various selling sites. They have little crystals, you soak them in cold water, they puff up and keep you cool. They worker for me. One site is ... E*sy. You can also find them on the very big buying site that starts with A*****.
