Suzuki S-Cross vs Mazda CX-30 - back seat leg space?

Have the chance to pick between a 2022 Suzuki S-Cross and 2021 Mazda CX-30 as my first car. I’m leaning towards the Mazda but my main concern is back seat leg room. 90% of the time I will be driving alone or with one other person, but would like to go on occassional short road trips with friends in the back. Have read conflicting reviews about Mazda - some say it’s okay as long as it’s not a long drive, while others say it’s crammed. I’m 186 cm (6ft1) but most of my friends are shorter than me so I would guess the passenger behind me would be 170-175 cm-ish. Suzuki is allegedly better but there’s very little actual reviews about it.

the mazda back seat is tight for real adults, at 6ft1 your seat will be pushed back pretty far and the person behind you will have knees in the dash probably. for occasional short trips with shorter friends it might be ok but nobody will be comfortable suzuki generally is more practical with space, if the s-cross is anything like the old vitara the rear legroom is decent. i would test both if you can, sit in driver seat adjusted for yourself then climb in the back, you will know in 30 seconds which one works
The Suzuki has more legroom. I would guess the passenger behind me would be 170-175 cm-ish. The Mazda should be fine then. The big issue is fitting child seats, those need much more space than short passengers.
