I have it on one phone but it only has a version number (20.0.01.13). I have only downloaded from Google Play and a few things that came with Samsung phones so their app store does updates on those. I noticed some apps aren't listed in Google Play's list of apps that I have and but can still be downloaded :/ but couldn't find it in either place nor by searching. I got a backup phone and wanted to put it on there. https://imgur.com/a/5107z1N I guess secondary question would be what's a good visual voicemail app?

That's Samsung's visual voicemail app. Just use Google Voice.

Google Voice I don't want all that hoopla, I just want to use an app to play my voicemails instead of calling the voicemail and using the keypad to listen/delete/etc. Maybe I'd just dumb but I can't find it on Samsung store.

I haven't had a phone from my carrier in ages. I have AT&T and the options to get AT&T ones are all blue. That'll be my go to if I can't find the one I've been using.

Z Flip 5, Android 16, and OneUI 8.5 for both phones. I started with Samsung with the Flip 3 so it may have went back that far and got carried over when I upgraded to the 4 and then 5. With the setup where you basically clone your old phone settings and apps and such but I didn't do this with the 2nd phone now cause I don't want it to be the same or confuse things somehow. The phone app, keypad, dots does not have a Visual Voicemail option nor does the overall settings of the phone app. Thanks for trying to help tho!

Oh you're totally right. So my main phone is s26 ultra on T-Mobile network but unlocked variant and I have that option. I looked at my s23 unlocked variant on a ATT and I don't have that option, but I looked in my app drawer and I do have the visual voicemail app there. Try this, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.szalkowski.activitylauncher The app is called activity launcher in the play store. It lets you create shortcut/apps from your system apps. I was able to locate the visual voicemail app and create a shortcut in my app drawer for it. Hopefully it works for you

I didn't buy from the carrier either. I use lineage OS, and VV used to work there, but inconsistently. AT&T's app has gotten better, so I'm not so upset about using it as I used to.

What Samsung phone do you have and what version of android are you on? I believe when either OneUI 8.0 came out, or 8.5 , cant remember, but pretty sure 8.0, samsung finally added that back for everyone to use. I haven't found a way to get the app icon in the drawer, but you can access it via the Samsung Phone app > keypad > top right 3 dots > Visual Voicemail

The visual voicemail app is usually provided by your carrier. Mine comes from at&t.
