14 inch 358H/388H laptop

I'm looking for a laptop to replace my HP omnibook lunar lake that bricked after a year and a half. My main desire is good battery with some gaming, as I travel for work. I prefer the portability of 14 inch, though 15.3 may be okay. So far I see the xps 14 for 2900$ and the Asus expert book for 3500$. Are those my only options? Looking to see if I can get a little cheaper

Yep, so this is the world we live in if you want a 358/388H in the 14" size class. Allocations are tight on those with a lot of manufacturers (both the chips themselves and the memory/storage). Aside from the Dell and Asus, the Framework 13 Pro can be preordered with a 358H (the prebuilt version comes with 32GB of RAM and 1TB SSD and is priced about the same as the XPS 14), but batches are backlogged into November. But that's a 13.5" display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. Unfortunately, you're not gonna really find anything cheaper right now because DRAM and storage prices shot up again, so device manufacturers recently raised prices. The best time to buy a 358/388H at saner prices was like...a few months ago.. :(
