So I was planning to build my first BUDGET pc build and I had a few questions. 1: I wanted to wait until my birthday (which is a month away) so I had some birthday money for a decent 1080p build to buy all the pc parts together in one order, but everyone is freaking out about gpu prices rising this month. So do I buy my gpu now and wait to buy the other parts? Or is that a bad idea? 2: The 2 GPU's I had picked out were the RTX 5050 or RX 7600. Both cards are 300 USD at my stores. I know people say those cards are trash but I was impressed that when I looked up the benchmarks they ran the games I wanted to play at great framerates. So is there a particular one I should pick or is it not that important since they share similar performance?

Used 5060 should be under $300. Or a 7700XT. Up to you, but seems better value. (depends of course on what local FaceBook has.)
Yeah I was thinking about b580 but it might bottleneck my cpu I have picked out (R5 5600) Thank you for the help though!
b580's performance is about 5060 , it won't be bottlenecked by your cpu , be sure of that
The thing with the 5050 part of the reason it gets so much hate is you can get the 5060 or 9060xt for about $30-$50 more and get a lot more performance. Between those two I would go with the 5050
If it's within your budget just get the most powerful GPU you can. Don't worry about a bottleneck at the CPU. It might not hit it's max frames but you have overhead, which is great. It's like not getting gravy just because your steak is juicy... But your potatoes aren't! Always get the best you can within your budget without regard to what it can't do just because the other pieces aren't good enough to fully benefit. It doesn't slow you down in the slightest.

get the gpu now, save your birthday money for the rest of thw build (by the way happy birthday) , for 1080p , 8gb vram does the job but it's good to have more than 8gb , some budget friendly gpus like arc b580 12gb or rtx 3060 12gb are good options too , but if you want 8gb gpu then that 5050 is good too, but , search the net yourself, watch youtube comparisons, read reviews. don't depend only on here.
