Help! High pitched noise coming from 2004 Tacoma
Hello, does any mechanic recognize this sound? It’s a loud pitch noise coming from engine on my 2004 Tacoma 3.4 4x4. It gets loud once hitting 20mph, then gets progressively worse as I increase speed. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

I’ve heard similar sounds from a small rock being stuck between a brake rotor and the dust shield. Look into that first, then check the condition, level, and service interval for all your driveline fluids (front differential, trans, transfer case, rear differential)
u checked the car to ensure no friend zip tie a harmonica under the frame correct? Joke a side, all i could think off is the alternator or any pulley that driven by serpentine belt; due to the correlation of pitching sound and vehicle speed
I’d check this off as a bad bearing (or second thought is a belt). Check the belt, if you’re familiar with it and look for frayed edges. If it’s not that, jack up onto a couple stands if you have ‘em and try free turning your tires and listen for that noise. Also try wriggling each tire from left to right and top to bottom. If they click when wriggling them and have any play other than with the axle moving too, you have a bad bearing. How long has it been making that god-awful noise?
I heard very similar sounds from the air moving between the light bar and hard shell roof on my buddies 02 Jeep.
