Mid-Tier laptop for mainly 3D Work

If anything I say sounds ridiculous it’s because I never had to consider specs for my laptop until now so I’m new to learning all the terminology. Please explain things to me like I’m a 5 year old. Resources for learning about specs would be highly appreciated. * **Country** United States * **Budget** ~$3000 is my hard limit. I highly prefer refurbished as to not blow through my entire budget, but I’m not super familiar with resale markets and not sure if I trust the reliability of refurbished laptops. If need be, I’ll settle with buying new. * **Screen size** Any * **Weight limit** Any * **Purpose** Art and game dev in 2D and 3D. Both for school. Occasional gaming as well. * **Form factor** Standard * **Intended usage** Blender will be my main usage. I also intend to use Renpy, RPGmaker, Unity, DaVinci Resolve, VSCode, and whatever 3D printing software my classes specify (not revealed to us yet). I have side obligations that also require me to use Adobe programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, ect. I don’t plan to game on it frequently but it would be nice if it could run Fortnite at the very least. EDIT: Forgot to mention that I do a lot of HTML/Neocities but I don’t know how useful that information is since every computer ever can handle that stuff. Thought I’d mention it anyways just in case. * **Desired battery life** N/A * **Please list, in order of most important to least important, the priority between Size, Weight, Performance, Battery life** Performance, battery life, weight, and size are my order of priority. * **Info/Requirements** Im not picky about brands as long as it’s not Apple. I made my budget pretty high as a safety net but I really don’t want to spend more money than I need to since I just need it to run Blender decently/render 3D animations without crazy overheating. Since performance is my top priority, something with good cooling fans would be ideal. The game I’ve been the most consistent with recently is Fortnite so if it can run that as a bonus that would be awesome.
