I hope to get some help from this community so I can at least know the right direction to go. My needs : 4k 60-120 fps with DLSS, high to ultra settings Reliability for at least 5 years. With next Gen around the corner, consoles will become more powerful than ever. Will my rig keep up? Are the individual parts good for use in my next rig? Priced in Australian dollars, below I've attached a tentative gaming PC I configured based on the little knowledge I have (why are there 10 different 5080 cards??). I need to know: Is it a good deal (in AUD) Is it future proof? Are the parts I've chosen the best for my needs? Thanks for any advice and tips you have for me. Best wishes. You’ll certainly get 5 years out of that build. I don’t know how to do Australian math but that’s like a $2500 usd build on a good day? Get the cheapest 5080, you’re not getting much advantage from the $2k ones.
Usually single player games. I was thinking it would future proof the system but idk. The 9800x3d is a lot cheaper
The gaming performance between the 9950X3D and 9800X3D is not very different. You’re paying for the 16 cores but the next console generation is rumored to be 7-8 performance cores and will be around for ~5 years. Developers are going to optimize their games around this number. 16 cores is way too much unless you’re doing productivity work.
Probably go for 7800x3d or 9800x3d. What games will you play?
