Pay yourself first. Automate at LEAST 10% to savings before you even see your paycheck. 25% is even better. Live off the rest.
I usually just put random amounts in my savings but I think this method will serve me better. Thanks
Why random amounts? Random savings will get you random results. Make a plan. Automate it.

Take the employer match if you get one, fill the TFSA, chuck it in XEQT and forget about it. Genuinely most of the secrets people chase do worse than that.
