This is my first build and am having a hard time with the initial start up. Lights and fans turn on and run, but there's no display on the monitor. Parts list below. Yes, I made sure the display port is plugged in the GPU and not the motherboard, and tried different slots for the ram. Checked the manual for the motherboard and it gave me conflicting advice on what the two "post status checker" lights meant. I have a red and a yellow light, both solid. Manual said Red = CPU = Solid red is dysfunctional CPU. Yellow = DRAM = Solid yellow is dysfunctional DRAM. But then the manual has a QR code to a YouTube video saying otherwise? What would you recommend? Here are my parts (all new except GPU): Ram - DDR 5 ram KLEVV FIT V DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) GPU - 4060 Ti 16gb CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 9600X 6-Core Motherboard - ASRock B850M STEEL LEGEND WIFI AM5 AMD B850 Micro ATX SSD - SAMSUNG SSD 9100 PRO 2TB CPU Cooler - Noctua NH‐C14S

Are you sure you have seated the cpu right, double check that. Try to reseat it even if you already think you did it right, also check for any bent pins.

How would be the best way going about that? I have a large cooler on. Does that require running the pc long enough to heat up the thermal paste to take the cooler off?

Literally just take off the cooler. and open the cpu bracket again. Your pc is new, why would the thermal paste be dry?
