I am currently building my first pc! I'm wanting some advice on the build I have so far, I've had a prebuilt for years but never really got into parts and whatnot so I really don't know much about what's good. Here's what I've put together: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fzvhjG From what I've looked into I think I should be able to run most games fine with good graphics and fps. It's a bit pricey but I'm willing to pay it if needed for good performance. With that being said is there any parts on here that I've overcompensated and could use a downgrade? Is there anything y'all would recommend changing about it? Also I haven't picked a case out yet but if y'all have suggestions let me know!

Are you near a microcenter?
Thanks for the input, looking at it I will likely use the build you sent. All I really need is something to run games good and from what I’ve seen that one should work well! Thanks again, I’m new to this stuff so I didn’t realize that the 5080 would be more powerful than I actually needed

You don't need a RTX 5080 to just play games mate and also if you are hesitant to spend that much money, there are better and more value for money alternatives. Take a look at this build, https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mZFqbp 7800X3D+RX 9070 XT+32GB RAM+2TB TLC SSD. This config will play any AAA/FPS in 1440p with max settings with high FPS and is way cheaper than your original build.
The 5070ti is around a grand and 5080 is “only” 15% faster with the same amounts of vram, but hey if you want to pay the extra 250 Then it’s fine you’re not massively overpaying.
