Founders and builders - what have you found to be the best way to market your app?

Start by talking to your ideal users before trying to reach everyone. Consistently sharing your build journey, solving real problems through content, and engaging in communities where your audience already hangs out has worked better than paid ads for many early-stage apps.

there isn't one and the question is the problem. "best way to market your app" has no answer until you say who it's for and what breaks in their week without it. every channel answer you get in this thread is someone describing their icp, not yours. what does your app do and who's the one person most annoyed by that problem right now. answer that and the channel picks itself.

Most of my best conversations came from helping first and mentioning the product only when it genuinely fit.

i believe cold outreach is the best for early stage products. cold outreach beats trying yo go viral though posts that algorithm doesn't care about. People treat launch posts like jsut ads and scroll away. So when you find people who are alredy looking for your tool, complaining about the problem you are solving, your Dm or e mail stops getting seeing as just another spam ad, instead people feel heard which makes them far more likely to buy
